About  Infidelity…

For those that experience infidelity, if feels like your world is on the verge of collapse. Infidelity does not have to mean an end to the relationship, there are options. For an overwhelming majority of cases of infidelity, not only can the relationship be saved but it can evolve into a stronger and more resilient and even more intimate relationship than before. This requires some skillful facilitation from a therapist specifically trained in dealing with issues after infidelity occurs. There are methods to repair the hurt and move past the indiscretion if both parties are willing to do whatever is necessary. If your marriage has been rocked by an affair it doesn’t necessarily mean that it can’t be fixed, it just means that you need to have guidance in the most effective way to get through it and heal the hurt.

“Sometimes the only thing a couple can agree on is that they need counseling in order to figure out how to live together more peacefully.”

Many couples don’t seek counseling until things get so bad that it feels the marriage is on the verge of dissolving.  For those who need help quickly it can feel discouraging if your spouse refuses to come to counseling or has difficulty committing to counseling due to a demanding work schedule.

“Couples Counseling…for one?”

If your spouse is reluctant or unable to come to therapy, forcing or giving ultimatums aren’t going to work:  the counseling process can only be beneficial if one is motivated to be there and actively participate.  That doesn’t mean there is no solution to improving your marriage, there are many ways to work with couples beyond traditional couples therapy.
